Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kieran Trippier has made just nine appearances so far.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier’s recent form has arguably shown that he has been underused by Mauricio Pochettino this season.
While Kyle Walker has had a wonderful campaign at Tottenham, Trippier has proven that he is more than able cover.
Indeed, there is an argument to suggest that Trippier is actually a better option in some matches.
Trippier’s performance against Watford last weekend was absolutely superb, as Spurs picked up a comfortable victory.
With Walker now fit again, it could be that Trippier stays in Tottenham’s team.
And Trippier’s assist record may just suggest that against oppositions sides that sit back, he may actually be a better option than Walker.
Trippier has contributed five assists, despite starting just nine matches for Spurs so far.
That compares favourably to Walker, who has claimed just one more assist than Trippier, despite playing 33 times.
Walker may be the more solid defensive option, but Trippier may have just proven that he should be utilised more often – otherwise Spurs could risk losing a player of clear talent, if he isn’t satisfied being a covering option.
