West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has suggested in The Sun that Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is the perfect man to replace Arsene Wenger as the Arsenal manager.

Brady, though, has made it clear that she does not think that it is a feasible option for Arsenal.

The West Ham vice-chairman has also seemed to have taken a dig at Pochettino and Tottenham for not winning a major trophy yet under him.

Arsene Wenger manager

Brady wrote in The Sun: “Arsenal have plenty of cash — although not of the order of City, Chelsea or United — and Kroenke would spend a whole pile if someone could find a direct successor to Wenger.

“There’s the perfect man just a few miles down the road but I guess he isn’t available. Yet for all that Mauricio Pochettino has reconstructed Spurs into a fine young side, they haven’t won a thing yet.”

No trophies, no problem

While it is true that Tottenham have not won a major trophy under Pochettino, that does not undermine what he has achieved at the North London outfit already.

Spurs have become genuine title contenders and are Premier League top four regulars now.

The Argentine boss has transformed Tottenham, and although a trophy would be great, observers need to look beyond that.

Moreover, it is not easy to win a trophy, or at least a trophy that matters. Would Tottenham be winning the FA Cup or the EFL Cup or would they rather finish in the top four of the Premier League and play in the Champions League.
