Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are both said to want Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook may just have suggested in the Daily Express that Callum Wilson would rather join Tottenham Hotspur than West Ham United.

Tottenham and West Ham have both been linked with Wilson in recent times, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Bournemouth are said to be holding out for £50 million for the striker (Daily Mail).

But Cook has suggested that a move could be a possibility, as Wilson wants to play at the highest level.

“Hopefully we can go on a journey with him. He wants to play in the Champions League, everyone does. Is that possible? For a lot of us maybe not but hopefully we can do our best for him and get him as high as possible,” the centre-back said.

“If Callum keeps scoring the goals I am sure it is going to be a tough thing to keep hold of him.

“But I can’t remember the last player we sold that was a big part of the gaffer’s plans so that says all we need to know.”

If Tottenham did make a move for Wilson ahead of West Ham, then they would have to be the favourites to land him after Cook’s comments.

Spurs can offer Wilson exactly what he wants in Champions League football, but West Ham are unable to do so.

And although the Hammers may be able to give Wilson more first-team action than Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino’s side may still hold an advantage in the race to sign the rapid forward.
