Tottenham are reportedly interested in Burnley stopper Pope.

Nick Pope is reportedly a target for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January transfer window, but could an incident on Wednesday night have convinced Mauricio Pochettino into targeting the goalkeeper?

The Mirror report that the 26-year-old stopper has been identified as an option for Spurs, with Burnley boasting Pope as well as fellow England internationals Joe Hart and Tom Heaton as options.

Pope has managed just 14 minutes of action this season, before dislocating his shoulder in a Europa League clash against Aberdeen back in July. He is yet to play since.

The former Charlton Athletic stopper starred during the 2017-18 season and even earned a place in the England squad for last summer’s World Cup in Russia.

Hugo Lloris remains one of the first names on the team sheet at Spurs, but the club captain’s form has been in question of late – and Wednesday night proved just as much.
