Aston Villa are reportedly among the list of clubs aiming to snare Aaron Mooy from Manchester City this summer – despite his hefty price tag.

David Wagner said it best. When Huddersfield Town secured a place in the top flight for the first time since 1972 by beating Reading on penalties in the Championship Play-Off Final, the charasmatic coach claimed that his players had become ‘legends’, per The Examiner.
And, when fans look back on this fairytale season a decade or two from now, one player in particular will stick in their minds; diminutive playmaker Aaron Mooy.
However, with Huddersfield playing Premier League football next season, and all the financial rewards that come with it, perhaps its a little too soon for The Terriers to bid farewell to their Australian talisman.

After all, what’s to say he won’t be enticed by the prospect of remaining at the John Smith’s Stadium and writing the next chapter of this remarkable tale? According to The World Game, parent club Manchester City may cash in on Mooy this summer – provided a club meets their £10 million asking price.
Bargain?
And there’s no shortage of suitors with Aston VIlla understood to be at the front of the queue. Villa boss Steve Bruce has Henri Lansbury and Conor Hourihane to pick from in attacking midfield but Mooy’s availability cannot be ignored.

A clever and creative midfielder with seven assists to his name last season, the former Bolton youngster could provide that much needed spark in a frequently blunt attack.
However, why would Mooy return to the Championship having recently inspired a promotion to the Premier League?
The Scottish Sun claims that Huddersfield may attempt to extend Mooy’s stay in Yorkshire. Therefore, Villa face a challenge luring this legend to the Midlands.
