Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock has controversially questioned Tottenham’s call to bring in Antonio Conte by stating that he is unsure about the appointment, as he told the All to Play for Podcast.
The former Liverpool midfielder questioned whether Conte has ‘still got it’ and whether he would be willing to push his limits with this Spurs side.
Well, to answer the above question, Conte did win the Serie A title last season, so he clearly still has it.
Not forgetting his title win with Chelsea the last time he was in the Premier League and that FA Cup triumph.
Despite that, whilst Ruddock understands that it is a ‘magnificent’ coup to bring in Conte, he was still questioning the call.
“It’s not only the manager,” said Ruddock. “It’s the backrooms staff.
“Magnificent (coup), but I just don’t know. I think it’s the same old, same old managers.
“These Conte’s and these other managers that keep going. Has he still got it? Does he really want to do that much? Does he want to go that far like a Mourinho?
“I think Mourinho lost it. The Pellegrini that went to West Ham. They have had their (moment). If he goes too hard is he going to go that extra?”

Given that Tottenham fans can’t believe that their club managed to lure someone like Conte to the club, then that tells you everything you need to know about his appointment.
Adde with that, given Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s struggles at Old Trafford, there are Man United supporters annoyed at the fact that they didn’t bring him to the club.
Once again, that in itself speaks volumes and proves that Spurs have a manager ready to take them to the next level.
Winning a trophy is the ultimate goal for Conte, but if he manages to bring the Premier League title to North London before Arsenal, then it would cause utter chaos.
