Hadi Sacko started for Leeds United against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road in the Championship this evening.

Hadi Sacko has not been in good form this season and has struggled for playing time, but the 23-year-old had a great chance to impress the Leeds United fans and head coach Paul Heckingbottom this evening.

Sacko was included in the Leeds starting lineup against Wolves – perhaps surprisingly – in the Championship game at Elland Road.

The 23-year-old winger, though, failed to make the most of the chance he got and was taken off at half time for Pablo Hernandez.

It was clear that the former Sporting Lisbon youngster was lacking confidence, and perhaps he has played his last game for Leeds.

Leeds head coach Heckingbottom told Leeds Live this week that the players are playing for their futures between now and the end of the season, and Sacko’s performance is not going to do him any favour, and it would be hard for him to get another game again this campaign.

Having not made a single start in the Championship this season before this evening’s fixture, it was always going to be hard for Sacko against a top team like Wolves, but the failure of the former France Under-20 international winger to make any impact against Wolves and being taken off at half time suggest that his time at Elland Road could be coming to an end.
