Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers winger Daniel Candeias has not produced in an attacking sense this season, and Steven Gerrard is growing frustrated.

Glasgow Rangers attacker Daniel Candeias should be panicking more than most after Steven Gerrard’s latest warning.

Gerrard has been angered this week, following Rangers’ defeat in the League Cup semi-final, and his mood was soured even further after his side failed to beat Kilmarnock at Ibrox yesterday.

Rangers could only draw 1-1 with Killie, and Gerrard’s side never really going going in the contest.

The Rangers boss was clearly livid after the contest, and he demanded more from his attacking players.

“I know the players can play better than this,” he said to the Glasgow Evening Times. “The performance wasn’t good enough. Two or three really put it in and maxed out for us but the rest weren’t at it.

“I thought it was a pretty similar performance to Sunday. Not good enough.

“I expected a better reaction. I think the fans deserved a better reaction and better performance and they never delivered it.”

Candeias looks to be one of Rangers’ most under threat players after Gerrard’s persistent warnings now.

The Portuguese wide-man’s work-rate cannot be questioned, but he is not producing enough in an attacking sense to justify his place right now.

Candeias has claimed just one goal and four assists for Rangers in 17 appearances across all competitions this season.

And unless he bucks his ideas up, Candeias could find himself dropped or, even worse, sold by Gerrard if he is not careful.
