Reported Celtic target Gary Hooper is leaving Sheffield Wednesday.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic are interested in signing Gary Hooper, who is leaving Sheffield Wednesday.
Hooper is leaving Wednesday in the Championship in England in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old forward joined the Owls on a permanent contract in January 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Yorkshire Post to be worth £3 million after a loan spell at the Hillsborough Stadium from Norwich City.
The forward is a former Celtic player, and was on the books of the Glasgow giants from 2010 until 2013.
According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic manager Neil Lennon wants to bring Hooper to Celtic Park this summer, having signed the forward from Scunthorpe United for a reported transfer fee of £2.4m.
Hooper’s recent activity on Twitter suggests that he would be interested to returning to Celtic.

As shown in the image below, the forward – who was sold by Celtic to Norwich in the summer of 2013 for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £5m – has retweeted a post from a Celtic fan urging the Hoops to bring him back.
Hooper also revelled in Celtic’s eighth successive Scottish league triumph at the weekend.
