Leeds United striker Chris Wood has become a target of a number of Premier League clubs.

Garry Monk’s unexpected departure from Leeds United, could be bad news in the Yorkshire side’s hopes of keeping Chris Wood.
The Sun have suggested that Wood could leave Leeds for a fee of £20 million this summer.
The New Zealand international has become a target of a number of Premier League clubs, including West Ham United and Stoke City.

There were hopes that Wood would stay with Leeds, but they have surely been dented following Monk’s departure.
Wood has constantly talked up his relationship with Monk throughout the season, with the powerful forward giving great credit to the 38-year-old boss.
“He’s a great manager, he’s a great person and hopefully he’ll be here next season,” Wood said to Stuff.Co.NZ, just last month.
And back in February, Wood stated that he thought Monk could turn him into a Premier League striker.

“I’d like to think that [Monk could make him a top level forward],” Wood said to The Sun.
“It’s one of the key components to why the team and I are playing well — having that belief from the manager and from the team as well. It gives you an air of confidence.”
Wood scored 30 goals for Leeds this term, which was a huge improvement on anything he has managed before.
Wood had never before managed to notch more than 13 goals in a campaign.
And without Monk in charge, Leeds must be fearful that a Premier League move could start to tempt Wood away from Elland Road.
