Gaetano Berardi’s red card in Leeds’ play-off defeat came as no surprise at all.

The Swiss defender was dismissed for a second booking, and Leeds conceded a crucial fourth goal to Derby minutes later.

It is not the first time Berardi has let Leeds down in this regard, but it should be the last.
