Some Liverpool fans on social media are not best pleased after The Telegraph reported that Divock Origi is able to leave the club this month for just £7m.
What’s the story with Origi?
Origi has been linked with a move away from Anfield for quite some time now, but it seems as though this time he really could be one his way.
Indeed, the Belgian is entering the final six months of his Liverpool deal, and this could be the Reds’ last chance to receive any sort of fee for the striker.
Understandably, Origi’s contract situation means that he’s available for a cut-price fee, and The Telegraph believe that £7m will be enough to land the attacker.
Too cheap
£7m seems like an absolute bargain for Origi, especially when you consider the fees Liverpool have received for their fringe players in the past.
Rhian Brewster fetched £23.5m, Jordon Ibe earned the Reds £15m, while even Danny Ward moved for £12.5m.
Origi may be heading towards the end of his contract, but let’s not forget, he’s a Belgium international who has scored in a Champions League final.
To put it bluntly, he should be deemed to be worth a lot more than £7m.

Fan reaction
