Brentford manager Dean Smith discusses his future with West Brom reportedly interested.

Dean Smith appears to have hinted that he will remain as Brentford manager despite there being reported interest from West Bromwich Albion.

The 47-year-old guided the Bees to a ninth-placed finish in the Championship this term following a 1-1 draw with Hull City on the final day of the season, the third time he has taken them into the top half during his three years in charge at Griffin Park.
Smith is from West Bromwich and looks to be a popular choice to become the next man in charge at the Hawthorns, but appears to be committed to his current employers.

“There’s always going to be speculation about managers or players when a side does well, particularly when it’s a club our size,” he told West London Sport.
“But there is a long-term plan at this club and I’m acutely aware of what I have got here and that is always a big factor. It is a proper family club – in fact I was shocked to see my daughter walk out for the lap of honour with me.
“It is a good football club and I’m enjoying my time here.”
West Brom kept their slim hopes of avoiding relegation from the Premier League alive at the weekend following a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Moore has guided the team to three wins and two draws during his five games in charge, but the West Midlands outfit will go down if there is anything other than a draw during tonight’s (May 8) match between Swansea City and Southampton.
