Burnley beat Leeds United to the signing of Matej Vydra this summer.

Matej Vydra finally clinched his return to the Premier League this summer when he signed for Sean Dyche’s Burnley.
The Clarets paid a fee in the region of £11 million for the Derby County striker.
All summer long, Vydra had appeared to be heading for Leeds United, with The Telegraph reporting in early June that a deal appeared likely.
Talks eventually collapsed, with Vydra holding out for a Premier League side.
Eventually he got one.
After recovering from an early injury which kept him out of pre-season and the start of the campaign, Vydra is beginning to make his mark.

He scored once in the Europa League for Burnley at the end of last month, and also netted at the weekend as Burnley beat Bournemouth 4-0.
Leeds may be flying at the top of the Championship, but Vydra is a Premier League goalscorer again.
Perhaps it works out for the best for both clubs. Vydra though won’t be having any regrets.
