Celtic midfielder Kouassi Eboue has been linked with a move away from Parkhead, and Brendan Rodgers’ transfer plans don’t look good for him.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers’ decision to lodge a bid for John McGinn of Hibernian may just edge Kouassi Eboue even closer to the exit door at Parkhead.

Celtic’s initial offer for McGinn has been turned down, but it hardly sends out a positive message to Eboue.

Eboue has already struggled to break into Celtic’s team, and with Rodgers looking to increase his midfield options, his chances don’t look set to improve.

Eboue joined Celtic back at the start of 2017, in a £3 million deal from Krasnodar (BBC Sport), but he has struggled to make an impact for Rodgers’ side.
Eboue did play in Celtic’s first pre-season friendly, but McGinn’s possible arrival would only send him even further down the pecking order for Rodgers’ side.
