Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Lyon star striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Spurs are known to be on the lookout for a new striker in the summer transfer window with Vincent Janssen failing to provide adequate support to Harry Kane.
Lyon striker Alexander Lacazette is attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs and Spurs were said to have been close to a deal last summer, as reported by The Mirror at the time.
Their interest alerted the likes of West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool and the Hammers had a record bid turned down by Lyon.
Mauricio Pochettino’s hopes were raised this week when the 25-year-old described the kind of club he would like to move to this summer with the North Londoners ticking all the boxes.
But reports coming out of France yesterday look to have tolled the death knell on Spurs’ interest claiming a move to Atletico Madrid is edging ever closer.
According to L’Equipe, ‘concrete and advanced negotiations’ are taking place between the Spanish side and the relevant parties to try to sign the player.
The same report also claims Lacazette himself is privately prioritising a move to join Diego Simeone’s team.

May football pundits feel Lacazette’s style is ideally suited to the Premier League where it is felt he would be one of the most prolific marksmen in the country.
But L’Equipe says it is his friendship with Atletico and fellow France star Antoine Griezmann which could sway the deal.

“The contours of a four or five year contract have already been drawn out and Atleti apparently see this potential transfer as another strong argument to convince Antoine Griezmann to stay at Atleti, as the two individuals are close,” the report states.
Lyon want over £50 million for the player.
