Gomes’ actions have caused quite the stir on social media website Twitter, with Everton fans hoping that he has signed for them ahead of Tottenham now.
Whether Gomes’ bio change does give a hint over his future remains to be seen, but the action was always likely to cause speculation.
Mauricio Pochettino is said to have been very impressed by the midfielder’s performances for Everton this term.
Gomes has always insisted that he has enjoyed his time at Goodison Park though, and Everton boss Marco Silva has made no secret of his desire to sign the Barca man on a longer-term deal.
