Ahmed Elmohamady has bounced back from a slow start to life at Aston Villa and has looked extremely impressive in recent games.

Despite impressing on his debut for Aston Villa back in August, Ahmed Elmohamady’s first few weeks following his £1 million move from Hull City – with the fee reported by BBC Sport – were not the most impressive with the side and the Egyptian himself struggling for form.
However, the 30-year-old’s more recent performances certainly suggest that he may prove to be an absolute steal of a signing and may be a crucial member of the team as they look to secure promotion out of the Championship.

The former Sunderland man has contributed two assists in his last three games to help Steve Bruce’s men bounce back from a slow start to register three wins on the bounce in the league.
He was particularly impressive in the emphatic 4-0 victory over Burton Albion on Tuesday night, setting up Keinan Davis’ opener for the away side at the Pirelli Stadium.

Given that he is seemingly producing more assists, and the fact that Bruce can rely on him to play in virtually any position down the right flank – whether that be at right-back, right midfield or even right wing – it would certainly be a surprise if he does not remain a crucial member of the squad during the coming months, especially given his experience in both of the top two divisions.
And if his recent form is a sign of things to come, then it could surely be argued that the £1 million Villa spent on Elmohamady could prove to be one of the bargains of the season.
