West Ham United have been linked with Manchester City’s Joe Hart, but should they persevere with Adrian?

West Ham United have been linked with a move for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart in the summer transfer window.

According to The Telegraph, West Ham want to sign the England international goalkeeper, who himself is claimed to be interested in moving to the London Stadium.

Hart is a high-profile goalkeeper and has abundance of experience in the Premier League. The 30-year-old won the league title in 2012 and 2014, the FA Cup in 2011 and the League Cup in 2014 and 2016 – all with City.

If the former Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper does join West Ham in the summer transfer window, then it will mean that Adrian will become the second-choice custodian.

The 30-year-old has been at the Hammers since 2013, but his place in the starting lineup came into question last season.

Adrian was able to make only 16 Premier League appearances for West Ham last season, but stats show that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the English top flight.

The Spaniard has posted the following messages on social networking site Twitter which show that he is statistically the fifth best goalkeeper.

By posting the aforementioned tweets, Adrian is probably suggesting that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

This is a clear message to West Ham manager Slaven Bilic about his quality and calibre, especially after a season in which he had to fight for a place in the starting lineup.

While Hart is a decent goalkeeper, Bilic should look at the stats of Adrian; the West Ham manager will find that he does already have a very good custodian in Adrian.
