Carlos Carvalhal’s future at Sheffield Wednesday is currently uncertain.

The future of Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal could soon become apparent, after a photo which appears to show the Portuguese in conversation with chairman Dejphon Chansiri surfaced on social media.
Carvalhal’s Owls contract expires this summer, despite him claiming a year ago that he was tied to the Championship club until 2019.
And talks, which had been expected to commence this week anyway, look to be underway – if, of course, the image was taken today [Monday], as has been suggested.
Carvalhal has led Wednesday to the play-offs in each of his two seasons in charge, but saw his side beaten on penalties by Huddersfield Town in last week’s semi-final second leg.
Nevertheless, the 51-year-old remains a popular figure among most Owls fans, and is also said to have interest from other clubs in England as well as abroad if he does leave Hillsborough this summer.
Will he stay or will he go? The answer might not be all that far away.
Should Sheffield Wednesday stick with Carlos Carvalhal next season?
