Arsenal linked superkid Emil Roback has the ‘X-factor’, according to Hammarby’s sporting director Jasper Jansson in quotes reported by Fotboll Direkt.
Could the new Freddie Ljungberg be on his way to north London?
A jet-heeled winger with an eye for goal, Roback may be a little-known teenager but he already has some of Europe’s biggest clubs knocking on his door.
Earlier this year, Jansson admitted to FD that the Swedish starlet had travelled to England to hold talks over a move to Arsenal with Bayern Munich providing competition for Mikel Arteta’s Premier League giants.
And while many a move might have been put on hold by the ongoing global health crisis, do not make the mistake of assuming that Roback has been placed on the backburner.
Nothing could be further from the truth, with Jansson admitting that the interest is growing day by day.

“It is true that there are several clubs that show interest. We are clearly aware of the interest,” he explains, while pointing out that there are no official bids on the table just yet.
“(Roback has) extreme speed and elegance. He has a gift – the X-factor.”
Interestingly, Roback is not the only Scandinavian starlet who is courting interest from the 2004 Premier League champions.
George Lewis, another talented winger plying his trade in near neighbors Norway, is apparently set to become Arsenal’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
“I have been told that he has signed for Arsenal,” Lewis’s agent told VG last week.
