Harvey Elliott shares three-word post, as Robertson leads responses to Liverpool star’s IG

Harvey Elliott and Andy Robertson have led the responses from Liverpool stars after Kaide Gordon described signing his first pro contract as a ‘dream come true’ on Instagram.

Liverpool announced Gordon had penned his first senior deal with the club on Friday after turning 17 earlier this week. The forward moved to Merseyside from boyhood side Derby County in February, and has enjoyed a rapid rise at Anfield.

Gordon scored six times and laid on three assists in eight U18 Premier League appearances with Liverpool last season. He also scored on his U23s debut in the PL2, and has added two goals and an assist in three games so far this term.

Jurgen Klopp also continued Gordon’s rise with his senior debut as Liverpool beat Norwich City in the Carabao Cup. The teenager started and played the full 90-minutes of the Carrow Road affair last month. He is, however, yet to feature in one of the Reds’ league squads.

Liverpool were eager to reward Gordon with his first professional contract at Anfield and have now secured his immediate future. The Merseyside natives’ deal with Derby for the forward could exceed £3m if all add-ons are fulfilled, and will now look to continue his rise.

Liverpool stars react on Instagram to Gordon contract news

Gordon described signing a professional contract with Liverpool as a ‘dream come true’ on Instagram after putting pen to paper.

“Dream come true to sign my first professional contract at a great club,” he wrote. “Hard work continues.”

Several Liverpool players flocked to Gordon’s post to offer their congratulations, including Ibrahima Konate, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk. Robertson also shared: “Go on little man,” while Elliott wrote: “Yes young buck!”

Fellow Liverpool youngsters Owen Beck and Conor Bradly also shared congratulatory posts. Both have worked closely with Gordon with the Reds’ U23s this season, while Bradley also played all 90-minutes against Norwich.
