Well, Liverpool are finally Premier League champions.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were confirmed as title winners last night when Manchester City lost 2-1 away at Chelsea.
In doing so, City failed to bridge their astonishing 23-point deficit to Liverpool at the summit, ensuring that the Reds are mathematically guaranteed to finish top.
There’s been 30 years of hurt on the red half of Merseyside and, to contextualise that, most of Klopp’s squad weren’t even born the last time that they reigned supreme in England back in 1990.
That is certainly true of Harvey Elliott, who was born in 2003, and here’s how the 17-year-old Liverpool gem reacted to last night’s success on Instagram.
The former Fulham sensation has only managed six minutes of Premier League football under the German this season.
But despite not playing a starring role this time around, Elliott is absolutely one for the future and his goal will be to play a bigger part in helping Liverpool defend their title come next May.
