West Bromwich Albion have one of the strongest squads in the Championship.
West Brom star Harvey Barnes spoke exclusively to the Express & Star, and raved about the quality currently present at the Hawthorns, highlighting how the Baggies have a real Premier League feel about them.
Barnes, 20, joined West Brom from Leicester on a season-long loan in the summer, and has made a fine start to life in the Black Country, racking up two goals and an assist in eight appearances in all competitions thus far.
Many fans and pundits alike are expecting Darren Moore’s side to earn promotion back to the Premier League this season, and they have made a decent start to their campaign, taking 10 points from their opening six league outings.
And Barnes talked up the quality of the current Baggies squad, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star, highlighting how he has had to raise his game at the Hawthorns:
“This is a Premier League club really, the facilities are top notch. You look around the changing room there are big names and great players. So you have to play as well as them. You’ve got to be confident in yourself and hope those players around you trust you to do a job for the team.”
Next up for West Brom is a trip to Birmingham City tonight, and Darren Moore’s men will be desperate to rack up another three points in their quest for automatic promotion.
