Harvey Barnes is set for an improved contract at Leicester City after being called up by England.
According to the Telegraph, Barnes will begin negotiations over a new deal when the transfer window closes.
They report Barnes only signed his current contract in June 2019, but his progress has been rapid and the Foxes want to reward that.
England boss Gareth Southgate was full of praise for Barnes after calling him up.
“He has had a good couple of years, he scored a lot of goals [on loan] at West Brom, he is now starting to take that into the Premier League.
“He is a different sort of wide player, very direct, very impressive and counter-attacking.
Some of these boys we might not have been looking at if we had two fixtures but this is a bit different, and this is a chance for them to work with us and a chance for us to get to know them a bit better.”

England aren’t exactly blessed with elite wide options behind Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Raheem Sterling and that gives Barnes a chance of making it to Euro 2021.
He needs to put together a consistent season and that performance against Manchester City was a great early marker.
It looks set to earn him a bumper new deal at the King Power Stadium.
