West Bromwich Albion followed up their 4-1 victory over Leeds United at The Hawthorns before the international break with a 2-1 win against Ipswich Town away from home at Portman Road in the Championship on Friday evening.

Darren Moore’s side took the lead through Jay Rodriguez after 26 minutes, and Harvey Barnes – signed on loan from Premier League club Leicester City in the summer transfer window – made it 2-0 on 77 minutes.

Although Kayden Jackson halved the deficit for Ipswich in the 85th minute, the visiting team did not have any problem in picking up all three points from the encounter.

Barnes has been playing well for the Baggies this season, and the performance of the 20-year-old midfielder against Ipswich was encouraging.

According to WhoScored, against Ipswich, Barnes took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 78.9%, made one clearance, made one key pass, and attempted two dribbles.

Barnes has taken to Twitter to revel in the win, with some West Brom fans responding positively to the 20-year-old Leicester-owned midfielder’s message.
