Queens Park Rangers tasted defeat at Bristol City on Tuesday.

Queens Park Rangers’ poor form continued after they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Bristol City on Tuesday night, with a late Famara Diedhiou penalty proving decisive.
Matt Smith gave QPR the lead when he scored on the stroke of half-time, but Niclas Eliasson levelled for the Robins before the controversial decision in time added on ensured the points stayed in the West Country.
Unsurprisingly, the Rs faithful were disappointed to see the referee award what appeared to be a soft penalty. Darnell Furlong was adjudged to have hauled down Diedhiou when there was very little contact.
From Rangers’ perspective, their slide down the table is becoming something of a concern, and manager Steve McClaren will need to find a remedy sooner rather than later.

It is now six Championship games without a win and, although the Hoops have the FA Cup fixture with Watford to look forward to on Friday, league performances must improve to appease the fans.
Even though the penalty was questionable, QPR did not really impose themselves in the second half at Ashton Gate and supporters were quick to point that out.

It’s looking precarious for McClaren and his players at the moment, with games against West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough on the horizon.
As hard a pill as the City defeat is to take, the supporters must ensure they stick behind the team to get themselves back on track.
