The Athletic are reporting that Harry Winks wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur, which will surely encourage Aston Villa.
Aston Villa interest
The Telegraph reported last month that Villa are interested in signing Winks from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
Dean Smith’s side are monitoring the situation of the 25-year-old English midfielder.
Harry Winks’s stance
The Athletic are now claiming that Winks is open to leaving Spurs.
It is being reported that the 25-year-old midfielder has ‘expressed an interest’ in playing his football elsewhere.
Encouraging for Aston Villa
If Winks wants to leave Tottenham, then it is certainly encouraging for Villa.
After all, the Villans reportedly want to sign the 25-year-old.
Wink is a good player, but the England international struggled for playing time last season under Jose Mourinho.

The 25-year-old made nine starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League.
The Tottenham no.8 also scored one goal and gave one assist in eight Europa League appearances.
Of course, there is a new manager at Spurs now, but if Winks does not think that he will get a chance under Nuno, then leaving the North London club for Villa – who actually want him – would not be a bad idea.
