Tottenham Hotspur have one of the strongest midfield setups in the Premier League.

Spurs youngster Harry Winks sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and raved about the quality of teammate Victor Wanyama, highlighting how his ability on the ball goes completely under the radar.

The Kenyan moved to Tottenham from Southampton in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be in the region of £11 million, and his arrival has coincided with Mauricio Pochettino’s men becoming a far more solid outfit.

And Winks drew attention to the 25-year-old midfielder’s importance to the Spurs side, when speaking exclusively to TottenhamHotspur.com, highlighting both his strength and ability as a footballer as something he is in awe of:

“Victor is obviously solid, he’s an absolute brute but he’s very, very good with the ball at his feet as well. He’s a fantastic player and he’s had a very good season since joining from Southampton.”

The Lilywhites have undoubtedly become a stronger team since the addition of Wanyama, and they currently sit comfortably in second position in the Premier League table, albeit a distant 10 points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.

They are by no means out of the title race just yet, however, and if Wanyama can continue his fine form, he will provide the rest of his team with the platform they need to go on and push the Blues all the way for the Premier League crown.
