Harry Winks says Tottenham Hotspur have the squad depth to win the 2017/18 Premier League title.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks believes that Spurs have the squad depth to not only mount a Premier League title challenge but to also win it.
He spoke about how Mauricio Pochettino and the club are committed to develop and push young players from the academy if they are good enough.
At the same time, he understands that this is the most exciting team Spurs have assembled for decades, and they now should strive for winning trophies.

In the past 26 years, Spurs have won only two trophies, both League Cups; but having challenged Chelsea all the way to the wire last season, Winks is hopeful Spurs can win the title in 2017/18.
Winks says that the players believe in their ability and as a team, and that they don’t feel the pressure from the media.
The 21-year-old also commented on Tottenham’s dormancy in this summer transfer window, saying it doesn’t affect the players.
Spurs remain the only team in the Premier League who are yet to sign a player in the summer transfer window.
“We’ve got world class players within the squad, people like Harry Kane, Mousa [Dembele], Dele [Alli], [Christian] Eriksen. We’ve got top players in the team but if every player wants to keep improving and we keep improving then there’s no reason we can’t go one step further and win the league this year,” said Winks, as quoted by The Telegraph.
“I think we all believe in ourselves individually and as a team. We don’t feel the pressure from the media. Obviously it’s been well documented that we haven’t been as big in the transfer window as other teams but we don’t let that affect us as players.”
