Of course, Spurs are unlikely to have any desire to sell Winks at any point in the near future.
But when he was out injured, there were doubts over whether Winks would ever return to the level he was at before he was sidelined.
The 22-year-old has now proven that he has all the talent required to be one of the stand out midfielders of his generation, and Spurs must be delighted that they have yet another hugely valuable talent in their squad now.
