Tottenham Hotspur visit Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Harry Winks has told The Daily Mail that there’s no reason why he and his Tottenham Hotspur team-mates can’t beat Arsenal on Sunday to complete a hat-trick of victories in big games this week.
Tottenham beat Inter Milan 1-0 on Wednesday to keep alive their hopes of reaching the latter stages of the Champions League, having destroyed Chelsea last weekend.
Arsenal play host on Sunday as Spurs and their bitter North London rivals renew hostilities for the first time this season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side travel to the Emirates with a six-match winning streak to protect, but the Gunners, unbeaten since August under new manager Unai Emery, certainly represent yet another big test for the Lilywhites – but a test that Winks is adamant they can pass.
“It is a game the fans want to win and one that we want to win. Three games in a week is going to be tough, but confidence is high,” he told The Daily Mail.
“Of course they are beatable. The form we are in right now, it is probably the perfect time to go there. It is going to be a good game.”
It’ll be the first of two games against Arsenal in December, with Pochettino’s troops returning to the Emirates later in the month for a League Cup quarter-final.
Tottenham certainly have form on their side, but Arsenal have been going about their business quietly under Emery, winning 14 of their last 18 games in all competitions.
A home victory is very much a possibility this weekend, but if every Spurs player believes as much as Winks then few would discount an away win.
