The Tottenham Hotspur youngsters featured in their FA Cup fourth round win this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks has been speaking to Football London about his teammate Cameron Carter-Vickers’ performance against Wycombe Wanderers.
The young American started alongside Kevin Wimmer in the heart of Tottenham’s defence for their FA Cup fourth round match, but things did not go according to plan with the teenager conceding a penalty that enabled the visitors to take a two-goal lead.

Despite that setback, Carter-Vickers kept his head up and played the whole match, ultimately seeing his side win 4-3 in the most dramatic of comebacks.
Speaking about Carter-Vickers after the match, Winks told Football London, “He’s mentally very strong. He can deal with that. Everyone is going to make a mistake.
“I haven’t seen it back yet so I don’t know if it was a penalty, but he has the character and the ability to bounce back from situations like that.”

Carter-Vickers is rated as one of the best young players to have come through Tottenham’s academy in many years and he looks set for a very bright future at White Hart Lane.
That said he will have to learn from his latest outing and ensure he improves as a result, because conceding three goals against lower league opposition is something no Tottenham fan, or player, would have wanted.
