If Aston Villa could persuade Harry Wilson to join them, over Derby County, then he would surely be the best attacker at the club next season.

The Birmingham Mail claim Villa are attempting to sign the youngster on loan from Liverpool this summer.

And if Steve Bruce could somehow convince Wilson to join Villa, he would surely become their biggest attacking threat.

The claret and blues are set to lose Jack Grealish in the coming weeks, who was their chief playmaker previously.

Villa could also be forced to offload Albert Adomah and Jonathan Kodjia as their financial struggles continue.

That leaves Bruce’s attacking options looking very short, but Wilson could be a great option.

The Welsh international hit seven goals in 13 appearances at Championship level for Hull City last season.

If Wilson could continue to score that regularly from out wide for Villa, then he would become their most dangerous asset.

And if Bruce can get a deal over the line for the 21-year-old, he would be a great addition to the claret and blues’ squad.
