Derby County forward Harry Wilson has told the Derby Telegraph that his start at Pride Park has been frustrating so far.

Wilson joined the Rams on loan from Liverpool and was immediately thrown into Frank Lampard’s starting line-up.

However, Wilson picked up an injury last month, which kept him out for weeks.

Wilson only returned to Derby’s line-up at the weekend, as Lampard’s side beat Brentford 3-1, and he got on the scoresheet.

Wilson now hopes that he can get a run of games under his belt, as he admits his time at Derby so far has been a frustrating one.

“It’s been really frustrating for me, because in the Oldham game, where I picked up the injury, I felt I was starting to play well, starting to know everyone, and they were starting to know my game,” Wilson said.

“It was a massive pain for me to miss five league games like I have but now I’m back in the starting 11 and I’ve got my first goal, I’m just looking forward from here.

“When you’re injured, you see the lads going out there every day and you’re sat in the gym doing your work, it’s frustrating.”

Derby’s next match comes against Manchester United this evening in the Carabao Cup, but Wilson may be rested.

It remains to be seen whether Lampard will name a full strength side at Old Trafford, or if he will make some alterations to his line-up.
