Queens Park Rangers recently parted company with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United manager Harry Redknapp suggested on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, November 7, 2016) that Tim Sherwood is the favourite for the Queens Park Rangers managerial job.
QPR are on the lookout for a new manager following the recent departure of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Hasselbaink was sacked as the Rangers boss at the weekend following a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest away from home at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon.
Former QPR manager Redknapp believes that Sherwood is the favourite for the job at Loftus Road.

“Absolutely, I would have thought so,” said Redknapp on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, November 7, 2016) when asked if Sherwood would be the favourite for QPR managerial job. “I mean, he is good pals with Les (Ferdinand), and obviously, Les is the director of football.”

Sherwood is without a managerial job at the moment, having been dismissed by Aston Villa, then in the Premier League, in October 2015.
The Englishman is a decent manager, but his lack of experience of Championship football could be a cause for concern.
The likes of Carlos Carvalhal and Aitor Karanka have shown that Championship experience is not necessary to achieve success in the division, but perhaps Rangers should look at someone who has a track record of getting clubs promoted.
