Harry Redknapp suggested on the Premier League Tonight show on BT Sport 1 last Saturday evening (8:40pm, September 22, 2018) that Manchester United forward Anthony Martial would not be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur.

Martial was linked with a move to Tottenham in the summer transfer window, with The Telegraph reporting of the North London club’s interest in July 2018.

It was also reported that the 22-year-old forward was keen on a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side this summer.

Former Tottenham manager Redknapp, though, does not seem to think that the France international would make Spurs’ team stronger.

When asked on the Premier League Tonight show on BT Sport 1 last Saturday evening (8:40pm, September 22, 2018) if Martial would make Tottenham stronger, Redknapp said: “Martial? Can’t get into the Man United team, can he? Is he that good? I am still waiting for him to explode.”

No progress at Manchester United?

Martial has been on the books of United since the summer of 2015 when he joined from AS Monaco for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £36 million.

The France international forward is a very talented footballer, but the 22-year-old has struggled to play regularly for the Red Devils.

So far this season, the former Monaco star has played only 106 minutes of Premier League football for United, according to WhoScored.
