West Ham United are reportedly keen on Birmingham City attacker Che Adams.

West Ham United will again be back in the transfer market in search of attacking reinforcements this summer, and reports suggest they could dip into the Championship for a potential transfer target.
The Hammers brought in attackers such as Sofiane Feghouli, Gokhan Tore, Jonathan Calleri, Ashley Fletcher and Simone Zaza last summer, but there has been little success to speak of amongst those five.
That leaves manager Slaven Bilic – or whoever is in charge next season given questions over the Croatian’s future – searching for goals again, and having enjoyed great success with Michail Antonio since his 2015 move from Nottingham Forest, West Ham could look to repeat the trick again.
The Mirror reported on Saturday evening that West Ham are keen on Birmingham City attacker Che Adams, who – much like Antonio – has enjoyed a rise from non-league football to Championship notoriety.

The 20-year-old was playing for non-league Ilkeston before joining Sheffield United in 2014, and 15 goals in 55 games for the Blades saw him earn a move to Birmingham last summer.
This term, the pacey Adams – who can play out wide or up front – only started 28 games, but notched seven goals and three assists, including the vital winning goal against Bristol City on the final day of the season to keep the Blues in the Championship.
Adams may not be a household name to many West Ham fans, but he certainly has a huge fan in former Hammers boss Harry Redknapp, the current Birmingham boss.

Speaking after that 1-0 win over Bristol City earlier this month, Redknapp told the Birmingham Mail that he feels Adams has ‘real potential’ and could go to the very top of the game if he continues to work hard and improve.
“He is a handful, he is a kid with real potential, I think he has got the ability to go all the way if he works at his game. He has definitely got what it takes,” said Redknapp.
Redknapp’s quotes give an insight into just how highly-rated Adams is, and whilst he is still a little raw, he has major potential to become a Premier League star – and if West Ham move, they will be hoping to see him become the next Antonio.
