Harry Redknapp has been quoted as saying by Football.London that Tottenham Hotspur will not win the Premier League title this season.

The former Tottenham manager believes that playing at the Wembley Stadium in London is going to scupper Spurs’ chances of clinching the league title.

Spurs finished third in the Premier League during the 2015-16 campaign and second last season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are playing at Wembley this season due to construction work going on at White Hart Lane.

“If they were playing at White Hart Lane this year, I think they could win the Premier League,” Football.London quotes Redknapp as saying. ”I just don’t think they’ll do it playing at Wembley. They’re playing on a neutral ground.

“They’ve gone to Wembley and they can’t beat Swansea or Burnley, but they go away from home and they play fantastic.”

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has claimed that Tottenham are not going to win the Premier League title anytime soon, and ex-Leeds United defender Danny Mills seems to be of the same opinion.

“I don’t think Tottenham can win the league.” said Jordan on The Debate show on Sky Sports Premier League on Friday night (10pm, September 29, 2017). “I don’t see in the foreseeable future, no.”

“I agree with that,” said Mills on The Debate show on Sky Sports Premier League on Friday night (10pm, September 29, 2017).

Tottenham are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 14 points from seven matches.

The North London club are currently five points behind Manchester City and Manchester United, who are first and second respectively.
