Redknapp believes former club Queens Park Rangers need to look into the loan market, starting with West Ham United’s Reece Oxford.
Harry Redknapp has urged former club Queens Park Rangers to explore the loan market as they look to distance themselves from the Championship’s relegation places.
QPR have lost five of their six matches under returning boss Ian Holloway and currently sit 19th in the standings – a mere three points above the drop.
The R’s were a Premier League side as recently as two seasons ago, but have been forced to slash their budget since returning to the second tier.

And according to Redknapp, a couple of Premier League loans could be the solution for QPR – starting with West Ham United defender Reece Oxford.
“I think they’ve got to look at the loan system,” the 69-year-old told Talksport’s Jim White show on Monday. “You look at Bournemouth, they took the boy from Chelsea, [Nathan] Ake – he’s been outstanding. There’s players around surely.
“You look at Chelsea, they’ve got some fantastic young players who never get the opportunity to play there. Go and see if you can get one or two of them in.
“You know, West Ham – maybe West Ham have got one or two. Reece Oxford, the centre-half, he looks a fantastic… maybe it’d do him a great… to go and play for QPR for a season. He’d be a great loan signing. That’s really the market they need to look into if they can.”
West Ham’s Reece Oxford
Oxford burst onto the scene at the start of last season as a 16-year-old, but has been used more sparingly by West Ham boss Slaven Bilic this term and is yet to feature in a Premier League fixture.
The versatile defender had reportedly been courted by Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal but recently agreed a new contract with the Hammers on his 18th birthday.
Oxford is currently out with an ankle injury, but should be back fit by the new year.
