Harry Redknapp has urged Everton-bound, Frank Lampard, to sign Dele Alli from Tottenham on transfer deadline day, as he told talkSPORT (31/01/22 at 9:15 am).

Everton have appointed Lampard as their new manager, according to Sky Sports, although the club haven’t confirmed it yet.

But with the transfer deadline set to slam shut at 11 pm, the new man in Everton’s dugout won’t have too long to conclude some final deals.

Alli at Tottenham is seemingly available, but, at this moment in time, he is still faltering in north London.

And Redknapp thinks Lampard should pick up the Englishman from the canvas so he can get the best out of his talents once more.

“He has been linked with Dele Alli,” said Redknapp. “I would love to see him take Dele Alli to turn his career around.

“He is a great talent. Someone, somewhere and Dele Alli also need to do something to get him back on track because there is a great player in there somewhere.”

During the early part of Alli’s career, when he was scoring goals for fun, he was likened to Lampard.

Those late runs into the box and that composure in front of goal like he was a striker himself.

Whilst Lampard took his talents and put medals around his neck, Alli has struggled big time and under several managers.

There’s no doubt that he needs to move and a possible move to Goodison Park might just be a smart move for all.
