Harry Redknapp has said on the Redknapp’s Big Night Out show on Sky One (10:07pm, May 20, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

The former Tottenham manager believes that Kane would leave Spurs for Liverpool, Manchester United or Manchester City.

Sky Sports reported earlier this week that the striker has told Spurs that he wants to leave.

City, United and Chelsea all are reported to have made contact with the 27-year-old’s agent.

Redknapp said about Kane on the Redknapp’s Big Night Out show on Sky One (10:07pm, May 20, 2021): “What a signing he would be, whoever signs him.

“If he went to Man United, for instance, you would fancy them next year to have a big chance of winning. He makes such a difference.

“He can turn a team. Liverpool, Man United, Man City. Where would he go? One of them three.”

Liverpool have not actually been linked with Kane, but there is no doubt that he would be absolutely stunning for the Reds.

Just imagine Kane turning out alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane at Anfield.

Roberto Firmino is not really the kind of number 9 who scores goals for fun, and Kane would be an upgrade on the Brazilian.

Kane could easily score 25 to 30 goals in the Premier League for Liverpool, if he stays fit.

Given the way the striker has evolved this season, he could actually drop deep and play the way Firmino plays.

After all, the England international has scored 22 goals and provided 13 assists in the Premier League this season.

There are three problems that Liverpool could face if they want to sign Kane.

The striker will only join the Reds – or any other big club – if he is guaranteed a place in the starting lineup.

That would mean one of Salah, Firmino or Mane would have to drop out, unless manager Klopp decides to play them and Kane in the same team.

Now, if Klopp keeps playing a front-three, then it means that one of Firmino, Salah and Mane will have to be a substitute, and then likely to leave.

The Telegraph claims that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants £150 million as transfer fee for Kane.

Would Liverpool to be willing to spend that much on a single player this summer?
