Terry, who is a close friend and ex-Chelsea teammate of the new Derby County manager, Frank Lampard, left Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Harry Redknapp has told Talksport that John Terry to Derby County ‘fits nicely’ after the former Chelsea captain left Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Derby have just appointed Terry’s close friend and ex-Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard as manager on a three-year deal.
And Lampard, who is Redknapp’s nephew, is expected joined at Pride Park by Blues coach Jody Morris.
Asked whether the new Derby boss will utilise his Chelsea connections in the summer transfer market, Redknapp said: “I think Roman Abramovich (the Blues owner) loved Frank and if they’re going to help anybody it’s going to be Frank. I think he’s got a good chance of getting some good loans.
“John Terry – what a signing he’d be for them! I’d still take him for another year. He’s a great pro, great around the place. That would be an interesting one. Jody Morris and John are big pals as well. That fits nicely, that one.”

Terry came through the ranks at Chelsea and spent close to 20 years in the Blues’ first team before joining Aston Villa last summer.
However, Villa’s failure to gain promotion this season has put pay to their hopes of a new deal Terry, who was said to earn £60,000 a week at Villa Park.
