Harry Redknapp says Djed Spence ‘never gets a game’ for Tottenham Hotspur under Antonio Conte, as he told talkSPORT on Thursday morning.
This despite the former Tottenham boss pointing out that Spence was ‘brilliant’ during his season-long loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season.
The 22-year-old helped Forest earn promotion to the Premier League, before returning to his parent club, Middlesbrough.

That’s when those in north London, who had just secured Champions League football, decided to knock on the door for Spence and add him to their ranks for £20 million (Sky Sports).
But since the all-action right-back donned the colours of Spurs, he has sat on the bench most of the time, including during his side’s 4-0 win at Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
Despite some thinking that this Spurs squad probably isn’t good enough to secure top-four again, well, Redknapp feels different, as he also spoke about Spence.
“Djed Spence, who never gets a game and he was brilliant at Forest,” said Redknapp. “Djed Spence never kicked a ball and he was amazing last season at Forest.
“There are enough good players in that squad to finish in the top four.”

SPENCE’S GAME TIME
Since his move, Spence has only played five games for the club – and all substitute appearances.
What’s worse for the England U21 international is that during the very few Premier League games Spence has played, he has always come off the bench for a few minutes.
The question has to be asked as to why he hasn’t played more because the likes of Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty aren’t exactly winning over the fans.
