Harry Redknapp has said that he would love to return to Tottenham Hotspur and become the new Spurs manager.

The Englishman has said on talkSPORT (8:39am, April 24, 2023) that he would return to Tottenham if chairman Daniel Levy came for him.

However, Redknapp, 76, has said that he does not think that Tottenham will come for him now.

Redknapp last managed a club back in 2017 when he was in charge of Birmingham City.

The former West Ham United boss was the Tottenham manager from 2008 until 2012.

Redknapp said: “It’s very, very unlikely that they would come knocking, I would be truthful, but if they did, then of course I would go back and take it.”

HITC Verdict: Wait until the summer

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should wait until the end of the season before appointing a permanent manager.

Okay, Tottenham were hammered by Newcastle United on Sunday, and we can understand why Cristian Stellini is being criticised.

Stellini has been placed in charge of Tottenham for the rest of the season.

We believe that Tottenham should stick with that idea.

Moreover, it its unlikely that any top manager will want to come to Tottenham now with just weeks left until the end of the season.

For next few weeks, Tottenham should get in touch with the managerial candidates they like and open talks with them.
