Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish was a target for Tottenham over the summer.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has told talkSPORT that he thinks Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish should be playing in the Premier League – is good enough to play for Spurs.
Grealish hit three goals and assists last season to help Villa reach the Championship play-off final, and many expected him to move on when Villa hit financial difficulties as a result of missing out on promotion to the Premier League.
The playmaker stayed put at Villa Park though, and even signed a new five-year contract with his boyhood club in September, committing his future to Villa until 2023.
Grealish has yet to really hit top form this season, notching just one assist and no goals in 15 Championship appearances, but the 23-year-old remains a wanted man.
The Express reported just last week that Spurs are still keen to sign Grealish in 2019, with Mauricio Pochettino lining up a bid despite Grealish’s new deal.
Villa will be looking to stand firm and keep Grealish with new owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens at the helm as well as manager Dean Smith, but Grealish looks set for the Premier League at some point in order to chase England recognition.

Now, Harry Redknapp has told talkSPORT that he thinks Grealish must make a move to the Premier League as he is a ‘magnificent, talent, and believes that he is certainly good enough to play for Spurs if Pochettino does remain keen.
“I looked at Villa and thought what a great young player Grealish is,” said Redknapp. “He’s a magnificent young talent. No disrespect to Aston Villa, if they manage to get up there, great, but he really needs to be playing in the Premier League.”
“Definitely,” added Redknapp when asked if Grealish could play for Spurs. “I sat and watched him again on Friday night and he just wants to get on the ball. He’s a great footballer.”
