Harry Redknapp has told TalkSPORT (Monday, 9:10AM) that Daniel Levy will not care if Harry Kane has been a “good servant” to Tottenham, come the summer. He says he will only sell Kane if the right offer is tabled.
Kane, 29, scored his sixth and seventh Premier League goals of the season on Saturday evening as Tottenham produced a near-miraculous display to beat Premier League champions Manchester City at The Etihad.
It was a performance that Alan Shearer described as one of the best centre-forward displays he has seen all season. Involved in the first by freeing Son Heung-min down the left, Kane then scored two of his own against City.
With Cristian Romero inadvertently conceding a penalty and Riyad Mahrez dispatching in injury time – Kane got on the end of a Dejan Kulusevski cross with seconds left. It came against the side he almost joined last summer.
Asked about Kane’s future and what Levy will do this summer in regards to the Tottenham star, ex-Spurs boss Redknapp gave his take. He thinks Levy will remain staunch, in that he will not sell despite Kane’s loyalty to Spurs.
“He’ll do what he thinks is right for the club. He won’t care if Harry has been a good servant. I’m not sure about the final figure but it was around £130m, he didn’t budge,” Redknapp told TalkSPORT on Monday morning.
“I’m not sure if he will sell this season – if he was at Manchester City he’d get 40 goals a season. Manchester United might try this summer. But I’m not sure he will want to go this summer, his performance was incredible.”

Levy was only willing to sell Kane for £150million last summer. City are said to have gone as high as £127million, or even slightly more according to Redknapp, but a move fell through. Levy remained stubborn.
This summer, Kane is a year older and after a difficult season, that price tag might drop – especially as he is a year closer to his contract ending. But City will surely prefer to go after Erling Haaland, or a younger striker.
Even this season has proved that City do not need a striker. Manchester United are hardly going to sign Kane when they still have Cristiano Ronaldo. The chances are, that with Antonio Conte, Kane will remain.
