West Ham United are struggling in the Premier League at the moment.

Harry Redknapp has predicted on talkSPORT that West Ham United will finish eighth or ninth in the Premier League table this season.

West Ham have made a disappointing start to the campaign and have lost all of their opening three matches in the league.

The 3-1 defeat to Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London this past weekend followed losses against Bournemouth at the London Stadium and Liverpool at Anfield.

Former West Ham manager Redknapp has predicted Manuel Pellegrini’s side to finish in the top half of the Premier League table this season.

Redknapp told talkSPORT: “West Ham, I think they will finish sort of eighth, ninth, round about that position. They will get it going, I think. They have got some decent players. They will be okay this year.”

Improvement needed

Losing against Liverpool and Arsenal did not really as a surprise; after all, the Reds and the Gunners have better teams than West Ham do.

However, the Hammers should have done better against Bournemouth, especially at home.

West Ham need to put together a run of positive results in the league in the coming weeks.

Although there are some wonderful players in Pellegrini’s squad, such as Felipe Anderson, Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic, they have not been too convincing as a team so far.

West Ham fans, though, should remain optimistic about a turnaround in form in the coming weeks.

Pellegrini is a very good manager who won the Premier League title with Manchester City, and he will certainly have a plan going forward.
