Tottenham Hotspur are the only Premier League club yet to complete a signing this summer.

Harry Redknapp has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on 3rd August, that he expects Daniel Levy to spring into action at Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day.

Tottenham are the only team in the Premier League who have not made a signing so far this summer.

However Redknapp, who has worked with Levy before, expects the Spurs chairman to wait until the last minute before taking action.

“Daniel loves transfer deadline day. He enjoys it,” Redknapp said. “He’ll be pulling off deals on deadline day. It’ll be a game of poker with somebody and he usually wins. Ross Barkley, or whoever it may be, they’ll be a poker game going on somewhere.”

Tottenham do have money to spend this summer, following the departure of Kyle Walker to Manchester City.

Spurs are expected to invest before the close of the transfer window, but getting deals done has been problematic.

Tottenham are refusing to change their wage structure, and it means that Spurs are struggling to pay the demands of some of their potential targets, with salaries currently highly over-inflated.

Pochettino’s side get their season under way in two weekends’ time, when they are set to travel to St. James’ Park to take on Newcastle United.
