Former Tottenham and West Ham manager Harry Redknapp, speaking to Betsafe, has offered his combined XI of players he managed during his time with both clubs ahead of their meeting on Saturday.
Spurs take on the Hammers in a London derby on Saturday evening, with both teams looking for a result; Tottenham may be unbeaten in the Premier League this season, but they’ve now gone seven games without a win in all competitions, whilst West Ham lie just one point outside of the relegation zone.
The stakes will be high at White Hart Lane, and whilst Spurs beat West Ham 4-1 in the corresponding fixture last season, Slaven Bilic’s men came out on top in their last meeting, with Michail Antonio’s header handing the Hammers a 1-0 win at Upton Park.
Ahead of the game, one man with a foot in both camps has offered an intriguing take on his history with the two sides, as ex-West Ham and Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has named a team of players that he managed during his time with the two sides, as he told Betsafe.

Redknapp named five West Ham players he managed at West Ham – Ludek Miklosko, Rio Ferdinand, Stuart Pearce, Frank Lampard and Paolo Di Canio – and five players who worked with him at Spurs in Kyle Walker, Ledley King, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart all included.
The final player was Jermain Defoe, as Redknapp managed him at both clubs, and he praised current Spurs ace Walker, who has become one of the leading right backs in Europe in recent years.
Tottenham’s Kyle Walker applauds fans
“He’s playing great for England now and Tottenham, he’s a great attacking right back,” said Redknapp, as the 26-year-old unsurprisingly claimed a place in Redknapp’s best XI.
Redknapp’s full team: Ludek Miklosko; Kyle Walker, Rio Ferdinand, Ledley King, Stuart Pearce; Gareth Bale, Frank Lampard, Luka Modric, Rafael van der Vaart; Paolo Di Canio, Jermain Defoe.
